Then press the Break key

and it looks like the Horizontal hold is fucked on the telly. Ah the fun we used to have annoying the staff in Dixons in the early eighties.

# Sorry
<pedant>
<geek>
You've missed the semi colon off the end of line 10. It would actaully start a new line with that code not wrap text as shown.

# That was the case on the Spectrum...
... but I think not on the BBC. I could be wrong though.
(, Tue 1 Aug 2006, 16:43, archived)
# It works on the BBC as well
I know this because this is my favorite BBC 20 goto 10 program.

10 PRINT "*****___";
20 GOTO 10

It creates a nice pattern with the semi colon but wouldn't without it. Looks especially nice on those old CUB monitors you used to get in schools.

# I've got one of those Cub monitors
Managed to get hold of one with sound and composite video inputs, then butchered the back and added a SCART connection (with analogue RGB) and a cooling fan. Ace!

On another note, I reckon it's time for a Hong Kong Phooey pearoast. routine, come on down!

# BBC would need semi colon
is missing from after it boots.

And you wouldn't enter BASIC at the prompt with nicely formatted spaces to line up with the line numbers.

I'll stop now...

# Nice :)
*clicks*
(, Tue 1 Aug 2006, 20:11, archived)
# Tch..
And you've all missed the fact that 'Goto' is only one word in BBC basic.

Why do I feel that Yoda is about to materialise and tell me my training as a pedantic muppet is now complete.

Woo to the pic, btw :)

# Bad spelling
Very funny. Shame you spelled work wrong. Kubrick would have been miffed.

# I think your code could be more efficient.
Have you thought of writing it in Fortran? I used have a great fortran compiler for my BBC Micro B.
