I had a tricky old time getting GIF transparency to work in ImageReady, blimey

i always find i get artefacts of the previous frame sneaking in and making pests of themselves

That's what I discovered how to fix. Right click on the frames in the animation toolbar and click "Use Background" rather than "Do Not Dispose". Problem solved

Unfortunately this adds a lot to the file size
