# I would hazard a guess at...
2 of the 'squares' are minced beef, two are chicken breast cut to size, and the wrapping is bacon.

# The idea is for it too look as much like a batenburg as possible so no bacon
It's just as well it didn't work as my sodding phone ran out of memory and didn't tell me so I don't have one photo.
I shall take one of failed meatenburg though.

Mark II will be a bit like your idea though. I shall roast a lamb joint and cut the correct sizes out and then do something similar with chicken or I may just used a port joint so I can do a proper shape.

# Mark I failure to launch.
New improved Mark II will be firing on all cylinders soon.

I'd greatly appreciate it if waited until I finished before attempting it as I ahve put time and money into this.

Mark II will be foolproof.

# Ha! Me and a housemate nearly made this, until we found out no one actually wanted to eat it.
Was going to be minced beef and chicken, all wrapped in pastry. (Or Meat and potato, we couldn't decide)

# I think there's mileage in a "Battenburger"
Breadcrumbs wrapped round beef and pork processed meat cubes arranged in a checkerboard.

*patents*

Fuck knows what RG's doing though.
