What happened was
they started off just taking them and printing them, a bunch of people here complained loudly and often, and they changed their practices slightly, emailing and asking for permission and eventually offering a small payment in some cases.
Personally all I wanted was to be asked so that I could refuse, which is exactly what happened. I didn't want my pics in their shitty publications, paid for or not, and I was definitely not the only person who felt that way.

Partly it's because most of you lot don't know what to do when your stuff is stolen
I armed Archie with a document that doesn't require rocket science to figure out, it seems he has utilized to maximum effect
