Can you recommend a good soap? I too suffer from skin as sensitive as a poetry-loving teenager and I'm tempted to go the Merkur route.

I'm using some comoy soap seems pretty good,and aftershave balm is a must got some nivia stuff that does the trick nicely

Not a soap recommendation
You know those alum crystal deodorants? Once you've shaved, wipe one over your wet face and that will keep down the bacteria that's often the cause of shaving rash. I started doing this a couple of weeks ago and it seems to work for me.

I use the Sandalwood one but they do a bunch of different kinds, costs about £7 for a tub but it lasts ages.
