Bizarre habits
Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic tells us: "Until I pointed it out, my other half use to hang out the washing making sure that both pegs were the same colour. Now she goes out of her way to make sure they never match." Tell us about bizarre rituals, habits and OCD-like behaviour.

Gaming gone too far
My friend once told me that he'd played so much Halo that he'd find himself 'checking his motion sensor' in real life as he walked around. Of course this is only a slight movement of his eyes down towards the bottom left of his peripheral vision, or his HUD, as he called it.

Playing too much Halo
I got the "Halo Claw" where my last two fingers on each hand were wrapped round in the shape of the controller and took ages to loosen up.
I remember playing so much Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter I kept imagining people walking down the street outlined in red diamonds.

Quake3
We (a bunch of work mates) played so much Q3 Arena that I thought, at the end of the day, we could just jump over the street to the bus station.
I shared it with the group and they had similar experiences too.

I had a friend who used to check rooftops for snipers while walking down the street.

On a similar note
Has anyone ever gotten so used to simply being able to load up a new game whenever you've fucked up that, when back in the real world, for a very brief moment at least, you've believed you could go ahead and do something with consequence because if it doesn't work out you can just load your most recent save.
Chat up that girl? Yeah go on then, if I get an embarrassing knock back I can just loa- oh right.
No? Just me then.

Not quite, but I do that in my dreams. Like, "oh I'll just grab her boob, it's only a dream."
Perverted, I know.

I do CTRL+F
in my head when I'm looking for stuff in the real world. It doesn't work.

Haha.
The GTA series of games has this effect on me if I play them for too long. Whenever I see a building site in the city centre, I spot the high-vis jackets and automatically think about sniper rifles and wanted levels.

Yeah this happens to me
If I have played too much Mordern Warfare 2, I will walk downstairs poking my head through doors and thinking i should throw in a flash bang then unload some lead into Mrs arrow....she thinks it's weird and childish.

Painkiller tends to have this effect on me.
I'd just played the level set in the docks the day before then went cycling over a rail yard near my house, and half-expected drunken dock workers with nail guns to start shooting at me.
