I can read Klingon.
I can barely understand two words, so I'm not completely beyond hope. Still, seeing the bf's face light up when he opened his birthday card does make being a (near) complete saddo worthwhile if you ask me.

If you can understand less than two words of it,
it's probably a bit of a stretch to claim that you can read Klingon.

I can read and write the alphabet. That's very different from being able to understand the language.
Take the post above yours for example. I could transliterate that into the 'proper' writing system but that doesn't mean I can grasp what it says.

I can do the same with Greek, incidentally, but that's just because you learn pretty much all the alphabet if you do anything involving physics.
