Broken Arrow says: Bankers, recruitment consultants, politicians. What professions do you hate and why?

Fair enough, Olembe, if they made it as easy as I'd like it to be, the degree wouldn't be worth shit. But Wikipedia's indispensable for essays & usually it'll link you straight to a review paper from which you can copy & paste the references as if you actually did the research. Funny to think of the tutors trying to prank the students... bloody nerds wish everyone was like them with no drug habit.

Thank fuck you're a Manc
thought for a moment that by Sod's Law you'd be one of my tutors.
So, when you publish something, you've actually read EVERY reference at the end? If you zoned out during the boring statistical bit, but you read all the rest, do you still include it or is that cheating?
My mate spent 4 years dissecting out beetle dicks for his PhD... are academics clever or stupid?
