I'm not convinced.
Had I had the guts to end it all back in '94 I think those close to me would have got over it by now and would likely be a little happier.
There are few people whose deaths make things worse permanently -- and a low percentage of those are suicidal.
Life is cheap and you're not important.

As someone who lost a parent to suicide at a young age, I still haven't got over it. Nobody in the family really has.

While life may be cheap, it's a happy coincidence, and in the words of Avenue Q, "everything in life is only for now." May as well make the most of the coincidence while you can.

Seriously?
Who the fuck are you or what have you done to make the people close to you hate you so much? Now, I don't know you AT ALL, but I'll tell you why I doubt what you say.

I know plenty of parents who have given up on their children (and vice versa) because of some unpalatable quality, be it a disability they couldn't cope with, mental attitude, outlook on life, sexuality, whatever.

But you say "those close to you," which is different to someone who moves on. Someone who moves on isn't around if you're alive or if you're not. They're close to you for a reason. Take it from a man whose sister is a single parent of a disabled child who was in court last month for fraud. Honestly. I love my sister, and most of what she is going through isn't her fault. She has had a shit time, been on anti depressants and from what I have gleaned has considered the big S.

I would be devastated if she went through with it.

So would those who are close to you. That's kinda what it means.

To 'Me, I'm not,...' No, you are wrong, wrong, WRONG.
No family ever 'gets over' a suicide. Nobody is ever happier because someone they love has killed themselves.

They are, rather, permanently deprived of a certain amount of happiness in their lives. No matter how proud they are of their family's or friends' achievements, there will always be sadness because one person isn't there to share them.

Life is NOT cheap: you ARE important.

I don't agree
My dad killed himself 10 years ago this September and I'm over it.

I'm not sure if
I envy you or not. Mine did ten years ago today, I've just realised, and I don't think I ever will be.

Maybe they're the same person
and you're siblings

You might not be important...
...but me?

You're lucky that I'm still here, and don't you fucking forget it!

And if you think that life is cheap, ask a parent how much it costs to raise a kid to the age of 21 - ball-park figure, obviously. It's somewhere between £170,000 and £200,000 depending on where you live (and assuming that you spend roughly between £8000 and £10,000 per year on food, clothes and education for the ungrateful little shit.)

If my kid done themselves in, i'd be more pissed off about shelling out £200k for them to just fuck off and leave me to rot. Who's gonna wipe my arse and pay for my nappies when i'm old and senile, eh? Eh? EH?

That £200k could have went into my retirement fund you miserable little bastard! Not only have I already spent a fortune on your school trips to Paris, not to mention the hundred and twenty fucking driving lessons that cost a pissing fortune because you were too retarded to pass within 10 attempts, or the private tuition that we had to pay for because you spent all your term-time smoking dope and dropping acid with your no-good mates, but now I have to pay for your fucking funeral as well, eh? Eh? EH? Another 3 grand?

You should have been a blow-job you little shit.

/where did that come from?

hi there "Me, I'm not..." or do you prefer Hamadan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum?
having read your profile it is clear that you are a person full to the brim with anger.
it drips off every word.
i defend your right to write whatever you choose however i also defend my right and the rights of others to disagree with you.
suicide is self-murder and as such is a violent act.
any violent act has repercussions. suicide especially so.
it can, and does reverberate down the generations.
i speak from experience.
my maternal grandfather was a fire-tender driver in Gaza during wwii. he saw and, more disturbingly heard things that no man (or woman) should ever hear. the damaged planes coming in to land with leftover fuel all too often crashed and burned. being made of timber and dope they went up like buggery once the aviation fuel caught. the tenders could rarely get close enough to fight the fires but were almost always within earshot of men being literally burnt to death. their screams stayed with him the rest of his life.
one night in 1966 (over 20 years later), after a number of periods of back-injury-related-unemployment my mothers father took a fatal dose of phenobarbitol.
i know all too well the effect this has had on my mother, my father, my sister and myself.

"There are few people whose deaths make things worse permanently -- and a low percentage of those are suicidal.
Life is cheap and you're not important."

i will happily forgive what you have posted but please get some help.
if not for you then for your children, should you ever be lucky enough to have any.
